At France Naissain, we consider environmental commitment as a crucial strategic axis. We work to preserve and protect our marine ecosystem by adopting sustainable practices at every stage of our oyster production. We make every effort to minimize our impact on the environment and reduce our carbon footprint.

Innovating to protect the planet

We invest in research and development to find energy-efficient solutions for oyster production. This commitment is at the heart of our mission and guides each of our decisions, as we are convinced that it is imperative to preserve our planet for future generations.

Since our electricity consumption represents a significant portion of our carbon footprint, we have decided to take concrete actions to limit consumption while continuing to develop our production to meet the needs of the industry.

After a period of intensive collective efforts (from March 2008 to October 2009), a decisive step was taken: a certification audit conducted by the DNV organization in October 2009 resulted in ISO 9001 Version 2008 certification for Vendée Naissain and France Naissain in November 2009. This certification covers the « Production, marketing, shipping, and export of diploid and triploid oyster spat ».
