At France Naissain, we are dedicated to producing excellent oysters, respecting traditional expertise passed down through generations. We share with oyster farmers these respectful and beneficial practices for the animals' growth. Additionally, we aspire to drive the oyster farming sector forward by seeking innovative solutions and technologies to improve our teams' working conditions and reduce our environmental impact. Our production, maintenance, and QSE crew collaborates with various partners (ergonomics firms, technical study offices, MSA) to equip the company with suitable and useful new technologies for our production. These modern and innovative tools enable us to produce beautiful, resilient, and flavorful oysters for our oyster farming clients while respecting our environment and team members.

Reasoned farming, respecting both the product and nature

Our oysters are born in a controlled environment and then raised in our sea-based parks located in Jersey, Brittany, the Mediterranean, Normandy, and Vendée. We have developed a reasoned farming technique that is environmentally conscious, enabling a steady and uniform growth of our animals. We collaborate with marine biology experts to optimize the breeding conditions for our oysters: reducing their stress and enhancing their well-being.

We take pride in preserving the traditional expertise of oyster farming. Each member of our crew is trained in the precise and delicate techniques of bag turning, quality control, and oyster farming.

Our commitment to responsible production

Aware of the impact of our activity on the environment, we produce oysters responsibly and sustainably. We are committed to continuously improving our production by using more efficient and energy-saving tools. We aim to preserve our traditional expertise while further reducing our environmental footprint to make the oyster farming sector even more virtuous. In 2022, we initiated a carbon footprint study to address all aspects of the company. The initial actions are already underway.
