The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC)

France Naissain's Commitment to Responsible Aquaculture

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) promotes environmentally and socially responsible aquaculture. At France Naissain, we are proud to be recognized by this prestigious label, which reflects our commitment to sustainable farming practices.

Founded in 2010 by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) and the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), the ASC has the ambition of enhancing the standards of the aquaculture industry by establishing strict criteria to assess and certify production processes. The ASC label aims to ensure that aquaculture products meet rigorous environmental standards, as well as social and animal welfare criteria. This approach helps to mitigate the negative impacts of aquaculture on marine ecosystems and promote fair working conditions for employees.

Certification ASC : aquaculture Stewarship Council

At France Naissain, we are committed to more responsible aquaculture. We have chosen to adhere to the high standards set by the ASC in all aspects of our seed and pre-grown oyster production. This involves considering our impact at every stage of production: from the hatchery to the management of our animals in the parks. We ensure water quality monitoring, the preservation of marine biodiversity, and the well-being of our teams.

Obtaining the ASC label is the result of a long and continuous commitment to sustainable and transparent practices. By adopting environmentally friendly farming methods, we contribute to preserving marine ecosystems and ensuring the availability of quality oysters for future generations.
